The Hódos-Metà in Cartographic Research: An Experience In Pandemic Times

This experience report portrays the process of a master's research that began together with the Covid-19 pandemic in mid-March 2020 and which initially related to a mapping of existential territories in the contemporary migration from the countryside to the city of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte. The new scenario required the authors to make modifications to the initial project and (re)invent the investigation, from its object, objectives and methodology, considering the research as a field in constant transformation. In this article we intend to present this process and discuss the effects that the pandemic context brought to the object of study, the production of knowledge and the researchers, looking at the influence of the Hódos-Metà in cartographic research.
