Dispositif and Subjectivity

The objective of this work is to go through some Foucault’s texts in order to understand a very important and not enough discussed term, the dispositif. Based on the contributions of Agamben and Deleuze it is possible to place it as a strategic term within foucaldian thought. Thus, a discussion about the term dispositif is relevant and leads to some of the main theoretical questions of this authors’ thought. Through this route, it is possible to situate the concept of subjectivity in relation to the thinking strategy articulated by the notion of dispositif, as a production process that takes place within the limits of dispositif and that points to their fractures.
