This work aims to present and reflect upon the meaning of dance through the theories develops by Susanne Langer, Maxine Sheets-Johnstone and Ursula Fritsch, wich are based especially on the phenomenological approach. If we understand art and dance as a symbolic expression and focus on the comprehension of dance as an object of experience and expression we can find the meaning of dance as the symbol of an indivisible totality that exhibit itself to us and of another form of presenting ourselves in the world.Downloads
