Abstract

Abstract : The paper aims to show results of a
research about a female “must be” by prescriptions
of magazine “Boa Forma”. It was analyzed especially
editorials, especial sections and reportages about
body cares. The main sources were the summer
editions and those that prepare to that season
(September-February, 2001-2006). The results point
out a control apparatus materialized in ambiguous
discourses; in the squaring of body; in the valorizing
of discipline and sacrifice; in methods of legitimating
in the schemas of culture industry.
