Música de fundo: um recurso tecnológico em ambiente de aprendizagem

Attention is one of the indispensable factors for learning. The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of background music on attention. The study had a qualitative and bibliographical approach, emerging from scientific articles and books, as well as an experimental research component, where participants performed a task under both silent and background music conditions. This practice occurred using technological resources such as a Smart TV connected to the internet, with access to a playlist of YouTube videos, which provided group listening functionality. The analysis indicated a higher number of correct responses when the task was performed in the presence of background music; however, it is suggested in future studies to increase the number of participants as the correlation test did not yield significant results. It is evident that background music has the potential to enhance attention performance.
