Overcoming Challenges on Creating Pages for the Internet: a Case

Abstract

This work presents a personal page created for the internet by a teacher/student with visual impairment who participates in the National Computer Program on Special Education (PROINESP in Brazil) sponsored by the Special Education Secretary of the Education Minister Bureau (SEEsp / MEC in Brazil). The program is managed by the Computer Core on Special Education (NIEE in Brazil) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS in Brazil) and coordinated by the Professor and Doctor Mrs. Lucila Maria Costi Santarosa. It has been observed on that proposed activity an overcoming situation on the challenges faced by the individual through a Virtual Learning Environment. It has sought some alternatives, communication ways and technological tools which fit appropriately to accomplish that task. It is realized a sharing posture by each member of the group to seek a collective accomplishment on overcoming their limitations, being physical or even technological. Therefore, it can be possible a social and digital inclusion of visual impaired PSENs through education and Communication and Digital Technologies programs.
