For a close reading of journalism: an approach by means of devices from the analysis of the discourse

From the view of Journalism as process and discourse and of this as an effect of directions, the present article, of theoretical matrix, brings notes on the relevance of the study of Journalism and its products by means of the theoretical devices of the French Discourse Analysis. It argues about the importance of the observation of the undissociable duality of text and context, trying to apprehend what is implicit in the text, that is, the effects of meaning that determined discourse tries to produce. These questions are necessary to the debate on the centrality of Journalism as an informal and daily forum of legitimation or delegitimation of knowledge, having in mind the fact that the existence of a journalistic discourse, which is of mediation, presupposes the relation with other socially constructed discourses.Downloads
