Sociosemiotic framework in news about floods: the tie construction with the receptor

The general aim of this paper is to analyze the environmental practices in the journalistic field, identifying inclusion marks from the receptor in the news offer. The study object was the coverage given to the floods which occurred in the State of Rio Grande do Sul in July 22nd 2011. For these analyses were compared the journalistic speech published in the following daily journals: Zero Hora and Correio do Povo at State level, and O Informativo do Vale and A Hora do Vale in the regional level. The survey is qualitative, bibliographical and documentary. The data treatment was performed through a speech analysis from the sociosemiotic source. Despite the identification of some inclusion elements of the receptor in the news offer, we concluded it was result of an intuitive doing.Downloads
