The Social responsibility in the brazilian librarian’s formation

It evidences the importance of researches around the school curricula, with the objective of understanding the knowings and the practices meditated in them. The text takes as analytical axis the themes of the organization and mediation of the information presents in the texts concerning to the librarians’ formation in Brazil. Therefore, it analyzes the documents of Ministry of Education (MEC) and of the Brazilian Association of Education in Information Science (ABECIN), regarding the new formative models of librarians, trying to visualize if, in their content, there are contemplated subjects regarding the social responsibility. The results affirm that it is important that the contents relative to the ethics and the social responsibility are contemplated in several disciplines of the librarian’s formation, a social responsibility that is practiced returned for the users.Downloads
