The Public Relations Professional as Negotiator

This article focuses on a new perspective for the profession of Public Relations – the occupation of negotiator, stressing that the main characteristics of this profession overlap with those desired for a good negotiator, whose activity has been highly demanded and praised. The peripherical vision and the communication skills of the Public Relations professional make possible his/ her involvement in many different areas, including negotiation. For the present study, a research has been conducted on the 4th CONRERP – Conselho Regional de Relações Públicas. According to the individuals who act in the area of Public Relations, the participation of the professionals of Public Relations on negotiation activities has been confirmed.Downloads
