A sociologia econômica da contestação moral

Resumo

A contínua criação de mercados sob o impulso do capitalismo e de políticas neoliberais que veem neles a instituição capaz de resolver os problemas econômicos e sociais, gerou processos de contestação moral por parte dos grupos impactados por esses mercados. Essa contribuição visa identificar os recursos disponíveis na sociologia clássica, mas também na sociologia pragmática contemporânea, para a análise desses fenômenos. O artigo destaca ainda que as contestações morais também podem ter relação com outros modos de troca, como doações, heranças ou mesmo impostos estatais. Em conclusão, esta contribuição enfatiza a importância da noção polanyiana de duplo movimento e das lutas intelectuais e sociais na determinação dos limites do mercado, da reciprocidade e da redistribuição.
