Abstract
Title: A compulsory collection of Biological Material and the Principle of Non Self-Incrimination
Resumo: A coleta obrigatória de material biológico se tornou realidade com o advento da Lei 12.654/2012, todavia, juntamente com a novel legislação, erigiram várias críticas a respeito da sua inconstitucionalidade por supostamente violar o princípio da não autoincriminação. O presente trabalho visa discorrer sobre as correntes existentes a respeito desse princípio à luz da Carta Magna, das normas infraconstitucionais e do direito comparado, demonstrando, assim, que a Lei em apreço não infringe o ordenamento jurídico pátrio.

Abstract: Mandatory collection of biological material became reality with the enactment of Law 12.654/2012, but with a new legislation erected several criticisms about its unconstitutionality for allegedly violating the principle of non-self-incrimination. This work aims to discuss the current existing on this principle in the light of the Constitution, the infra-constitutional norms and comparative law, thus demonstrating that the law in question does not infringe the parental rights law.
