O hemangioma é o tumor benigno mais comum do fígado, sua frequência varia de 0,5 a 7% em autopsias. Tumores maiores que 5 cm são chamados de hemangiomas gigantes. Ruptura é uma complicação muito rara, apesar de ser a mais severa. Nós reportamos o caso de um paciente de 52 anos que se apresentou com hemangioma hepático gigante roto e foi tratado por cirurgia em dois tempos com bom resultado.
