Abstract

Concentrations and voids are aspects that marked the way Simmel observed Italian metropolises and cities. As a kind of aesthetic of urban emotions, the author invites us to reflect on our own sensations and stimuli, when we observe or walk in cities. In this bias, the present narrative sought to contextualize an imaginary language of Simmelian bias, in the production of a street ethnography related to the concentrations, voids and sociability that marked the stages of voids and concentrations — developed throughout the pandemic period in the city of Imperatriz-MA .
