Abstract

The article focuses on the production of academic knowledge
concerning the Social Sciences teaching to better comprehend Sociology in school. The empiric base is composed of theses and dissertations approved between 1998 and 2008. The work aims at interpreting the relations between academic areas of knowledge in the university – Sociology and Education
– understood as fields and identify which delimit these fields, through significant categories in the studies, epistemological and institutionalization aspects, which reveal a habitus in the relation with the school environment.

É mestre em Ciência Política e Doutora em Educação
pela UFRGS, com pós-doutorado na Wisconsin University. Professora
da Faculdade de Educação da UFRGS, atuando na disciplina de Estágio
Docente em Ciências Sociais. Pesquisa sobre universidade e escolarização,
tendo em vista a democratização das relações sociais.

Victoria Carvalho Cordeiro, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre/RS – Brasil

É licenciada em Ciências Sociais pela UFRGS.
Cursa bacharelado em Ciências Sociais na UFRGS e realiza estágio em Antropologia
na Procuradoria da República no RS/MPF, junto ao Núcleo de Comunidades Indígenas e Minorias Étnicas. Interesse de pesquisa sobre relações
entre cultura e política, políticas afirmativas e diversidade cultural, Antropologia e Sociologia da Educação.
