Reflexões sobre o sucesso da alfabetização: a escola e o contexto cultural de Poço das Antas, Rio Grande do Sul
Abstract
Esse estudo apresenta algumas reflexões referentes ao sucesso da alfabetização do município de Poço das Antas/RS, o qual, segundo o Fundo das Nações Unidas para a Infância (Unicef), lidera o ranking dos municípios brasileiros com elevados índices de alfabetização. A aproximação entre os Estudos de Alfabetismo, os Estudos Culturais e os Estudos Teuto-brasileiros possibilitou-me problematizar a suposição de que, pela aquisição de urna das suas variedades - o alfabetismo escolar - toma-se possível resolver tanto os problemas individuais quanto os sociais. Tais estudos, também, tomaram possível construir algumas reflexões considerando principalmente que os elevados índices de alfabetização se vinculam com os processos associados à cultura, à ideologia, à economia e à política daquela comunidade, sendo, portanto, resultados de processos culturais.

Abstract
This study present some reflections on the success of literacy in Poço das Antas, Rio Grande do Sul, which, according to Unicef, is at the top of the ranking of brazilian towns with high literacy rates. The proximity to Literacy Studies, Cultural Studies and Teuton-Brazilian Studies have made possible the assumption that through the acquisition of one of varieties, i. e school literacy, both individual and social problems may be solved. Such studies have also made possible the construction of some reflections considering mainly that the high literacy rates are connected with the processes linked to the culture, ideology, economy and politics in that community and, therefore, result form cultural processes.
