Espaços escolares: modernizações produtivas
Abstract
Busco, ao desconstruir historicamente algumas edificações escolares situadas na cidade de Porto Alegre (RS), consideradas as marcas pedagógicas que direta ou indiretamente modelaram seus espaços arquitetônicos, analisar a relação entre espaços escolares e pedagogias, descrevendo as continuidades e as rupturas que tais marcas imprimiram aos espaços por elas ocupados, ou até mesmo determinados. Assim como, analisar alguns dos mecanismos de sujeição (controle) e disciplinamento (vigilância) que se ativaram, particularmente na Idade Moderna, em relação ao uso e à disposição dos espaços. Dentre os inúmeros estabelecimentos de ensino aqui existentes, foram escolhidos aqueles que pareceram mais significativos, pela história que possuem, pela posição geográfica e cultural que ocupam na cidade, pelas marcas pedagógicas, mais ou menos visíveis, que carregam e pelo espaço arquitetônico constituído e formalmente representado que possuem.

Abstract
Working within the historical deconstruction of some school buildings located in the city of Porto Alegre (State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), considering the pedagogical marks that have shaped their architectural spaces, I aim at examining the relationship between school space and pedagogy, describing the continuities and ruptures that such marks have imprinted to the spaces they have occupied (or even determined). I also examine some of the subjection (control) and discipline (surveillance) mechanisms that have been activated, specially in Modern Age, regarding use and space arrangements. Among the numerous schools existing in the city, I have chosen those which seemed to be more significant, for their history, geographical and cultural position in the city, for the pedagogical marks, more or less visible, they carry and for their formally represented and constituted architectural space.
