“Una società senza scuola è un corpo senz’anima”: As escolas italianas de Pelotas/RS mantidas pelas sociedades de mútuo socorro no século XIX

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as escolas italianas existentes no município de Pelotas (RS), assim como sublinhar, ainda que brevemente, a imigração italiana no município. Para tanto, utilizam-se, como fontes, especialmente, documentos consulares, notícias de periódicos locais e o relatório do viajante Ullrich. O recorte da pesquisa está delimitado pelos documentos pesquisados, a saber, o final do século XIX. No andamento da pesquisa percebeu-se a relação existente entre as escolas e as sociedades italianas de Pelotas, assim como o tensionamento existente dentro das sociedades.Downloads
