Memórias de professores: discursos orais sobre a formação e a profissão

Resumo
As produções teóricas desenvolvidas no âmbito dos novos caminhos da história da educação, privilegiando os modelos etnometodológicos e os instrumentos da nova história cultural e intelectual, colocam num lugar de significativa centralidade os discursos produzidos pelos actores educativos no interior do seu espaço social. Os testemunhos orais analisados foram concedidos por professores e alunos de uma instituição de formação de docentes do ensino primário e são relativos às suas experiências educativas e profissionais. Estas memórias orais representam poderosos pontos de entrada para várias problemáticas do campo da educação: as experiências enquanto alunos; as histórias de vida de professores; o género e a condição de ser professor; os episódios e os contextos da profissão; os quotidianos escolares; os rituais, as cerimónias e as festas; o estatuto social; a cultura profissional; os princípios éticos e deontológicos; a identidade profissional.

Abstract
The theoretical productions developed within the new lines of the history of education, stressing the ethno-methodological models and the tools of the new cultural and intellectual history, highlight the discourses produced by the educational agents within their social space. The oral testimonies analyzed were given by teachers and students of a primary-level teacher education institution and concern their educational and professional experiences. These oral memories represent powerful points of entry for several educational issues: experiences as students; teachers' life stories; the type and condition of being a teacher; the profession's episodes and contexts; the day-to-day of schools; the rituals, ceremonies and parties; the social status; the professional culture; the ethical and deontological principles; professional identity.
