A expansão e a eficiência da escola rural em São Paulo: atuação e posicionamentos de Almeida Jr. a partir de estatísticas oficiais
Abstract
O objetivo deste estudo é analisar os discursos produzidos por Almeida Jr. sobre o ensino rural, entre as décadas de 1930 e 1940, e as formas sob as quais ele utilizou dados estatísticos para sustentar as suas opiniões e a sua atuação como administrador do ensino paulista. O estudo dessas questões pretende colaborar na ampliação do entendimento acerca das propostas para o ensino rural, tema bastante debatido nesse período. Por meio da análise de publicações oficiais paulistas e de artigos da Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos, verificou-se que Almeida Jr., médico e educador ligado ao grupo dos chamados renovadores do ensino, defendia propostas voltadas para a qualidade do ensino e para a organização de uma escola básica comum, ainda que adaptada ao meio rural.

THE EXPANSION AND THE EFFICIENCY OF THE RURAL SCHOOL IN SÃO PAULO: THE PERFORMANCE AND THE THINKING OF ALMEIDA JR. BASED ON OFFICIAL STATISTICS
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to analyze de speeches made by Almeida Jr. about the rural education, between the decades of 1930 and 1940, and the way under which he used the statistics data to sustain his opinions and his performance as the manager of education in São Paulo. By analyzing the São Paulo’s official publications and the articles published in the Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos, it has been found that Almeida Jr., a doctor and an educator connected to the group composed by some men who were called the renewers of education, sustained proposals which were bent to the good quality of education and to the organization of a unique elementary school, though to fit the country environment.

LA EXPANSIÓN Y LA EFICIENCIA DE LA ESCUELA RURAL EN SAN PABLO: ACTUACIÓN Y OPINIONES DE ALMEIDA JR. A PARTIR DE ESTADÍSTICAS OFICIALES
Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los discursos producidos por Almeida Jr. sobre la educación rural, entre las décadas de 1930 y 1940 y los modos de utilización de datos estadísticos para sustentar sus opiniones y su actuación como administrador en la educación paulista. El estudio de esas cuestiones pretende colaborar en la comprensión de las propuestas para la educación rural. Por medio del análisis de publicaciones oficiales paulistas y de artículos de la Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos, se constató que Almeida Jr., médico y educador perteneciente al grupo de los llamados “renovadores de la educación”, defendía propuestas orientadas a la calidad de la enseñanza y a la organización de una escuela básica común, adaptada al medio rural.

L'EXPANSION ET L’EFFICACITÉ DE L’ÉCOLE RURALE À SÃO PAULO: LES PERFORANCES ET LA RÉFLEXION DE ALMEIDA JR. À PARTIR DES STATISTIQUES OFFICIELLES
Resumé
L'objectif de cette étude est d'analyser les discours produits par Almeida Jr. sur l'éducation rurale, entre les décennies 1930 et 1940, et les moyens dont il a utilisé les statistiques à l'appui de leurs vues et à ses travaux en tant qu'administrateur de l'enseignement paulista. L'étude de ces questions a l’intention de collaborer à l'expansion de l'entente sur les propositions de la l'éducation en milieu rural, beaucoup débattus dans cette période. Grâce à l'analyse des publications officielles de São Paulo et des articles de la Revista Brasileira de Estudos Pedagógicos, il a été constaté que Almeida Jr., médecin et connecté à un groupe d'éducateur de renouvellement de l'enseignement, il a défendu propositions visant à la qualité de l'enseignement et pour l'organisation d'une école de base commune, même si adaptés au milieu rural.
