HISTORY OF EDUCATIONAL COMPUTING: PEDAGOGICAL THOUGHT IN THE MUNICIPAL NETWORK OF CAXIAS DO SUL  (1992-2012)

Abstract

This study examines the process of constructing pedagogical thought in educational computing within the municipal network of Caxias do Sul-RS from 1992 to 2012, highlighting changes in educational practices and pedagogical concepts in schools. Utilizing documentary research methodologies and oral history, as well as content analysis adapted for digital means, a complex pedagogical relationship is revealed, grounded in constructivist currents with exponents such as Jean Piaget, Seymour Papert, and Paulo Freire. These theoretical approaches were fundamental for the implementation and development of innovative educational practices, promoted by a network of educators engaged in educational computing. The results show how this pedagogical thought significantly influenced education in the city, marking a period of transformations in teaching and learning through technology.

Paulo Antonio Pasqual Júnior, UCS

Possuo graduação em Computação Licenciatura pela Universidade de Caxias do Sul (2013) e graduação em História pela mesma instituição (2020). Concluí meu mestrado em Educação (2018) e doutorado em Educação (2023) também pela Universidade de Caxias do Sul. No campo corporativo, desempenhei funções como Product Manager (PM) e Diretor de Produtos Digitais na GoMining, uma EdTech especializada em Inteligência Artificial aplicada à Educação. Minha atuação envolveu a análise, proposição e validação de produtos digitais, além de experiência em gestão de pessoas e análise de dados. Na esfera acadêmica, concentro minhas pesquisas na área de Educação, com ênfase em Tecnologia Educacional. Meus principais temas de interesse incluem Pensamento Computacional, Inteligência Artificial aplicada à Educação, História da Informática na Educação e Cidadania Digital.
