Um jardim de infância para “treinamento das professoras”: as práticas docentes no Jardim anexo à Escola Normal (Brasília, década de 1970)
Abstract
In this article, the focus turns to the constitution and practices engendered by the teachers of the Kindergarten attached to the Normal School of Brasília (ENB), in the 1970s. Since 1966, mention of the construction of the Normal School of Brasília can be found in the Correio Braziliense newspaper, pointing to the existence of a daycare center, a kindergarten, and a maternal unit. Little is known about these spaces from studies that have focused on the history of education in Brasília since the constitution of the capital in the 1960s. Through the comparison of scientific publications, official documents, news published in the newspaper, and traces of practices that also appear in the notebooks of children who were enrolled in this kindergarten, it is possible to point out a dialogue between the teaching practices in the ENB Kindergarten and those that circulated in manuals aimed at preschool teachers during the period.
