La recepción en España de sistemas alternativos de educación musical en los albores del siglo XX: Felipe Pedrell y musicalerías (1906)

Se analiza de forma inédita la recepción en España de algunos métodos alternativos de notación musical tradicional, reflejo de los nuevos caminos iniciados en el ámbito de la educación musical que durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX se desarrollaron paralelamente en Europa y América. Felipe Pedrell (1841-1922), como una de las figuras más relevantes en el panorama musicológico y pedagógico musical hispano de su tiempo, se hace eco de algunos de ellos a través de su actividad periodística, mostrando su parecer desigual sobre los mismos. Tres métodos, el británico Tonic Sol-Fa (1841), el del paraguayo-argentino Ángel Menchaca (1904) y el Método Bitiru del español Ramón Galbarriatu (1906), protagonizan dos de sus artículos de prensa, recopilados y publicados en la antología Musicalerías (1906). En ellos muestra su interés por la educación musical y por estos sistemas musicográficos que se plantean y difunden como nuevas estrategias educativas.
