Professoras gaúchas participantes da missão pedagógica ao Uruguai (1913-1914)

O objetivo principal deste artigo é apresentar e analisar a participação de dez professoras na missão de estudos enviada pelas autoridades gaúchas ao Uruguai nos anos de 1913 e 1914. Embora tenha se tornado expressivo o número de professoras atuando no ensino público primário já no início do século XX, ainda era pouco comum que elas realizassem viagens ou cursos no exterior no referido período. Assim, considerou-se relevante apresentar os propósitos da missão pedagógica, destacando quem eram essas mulheres, suas trajetórias e algumas de suas ações profissionais, dando, assim, visibilidade à participação feminina na configuração do campo intelectual da educação gaúcha. A contribuição desse artigo, que teve como subsídio os trabalhos de Miceli (1979), Perrot (2007) e Vieira (2015), é, portanto, na perspectiva de caracterizar e reconhecer as mulheres professoras como intelectuais.
