Abstract
This text relates the notion of the non-deferrable to a destiny that cannot wait, to events which affect a life in an untimely and ineluctable way. This moment is aligned as belonging to kairos time which facilitates surpassings and becomings in face of moments of crisis which test the impersonal and indeterminate powers of a body—of a body-exhausted and not just tired. The non-deferrable thus becomes the next-of-kin of disaster, of catastrophe, of death and of becoming. It presents as a destiny realised behind our backs and on our backs and which possibly gives rise to an artesanal crafting of a body-without-organs which releases potential elements that go beyond complaint and resentment.
Keywords: Non-deferrable; Event; Body-without-organs; A Life; Exhaustion.
