Abstract

The benchmark of the experimental research "An Analysis of Cognitive and Social Dimensions in the Immersive Learning Process" explores immersive environments in virtual reality and non-immersive ones on computers to investigate attention, cognitive load, and collaboration in educational activities. The evaluation of 34 platforms revealed that 17 are multi-platform, 24 are publicly accessible, three were discontinued/sold, 23 are learning environments, 23 are multiplayer, 26 have tactile interaction, and seven encompass all categories. “Escape Simulator” and “NetVerse Edu” were chosen for the experiments. It is concluded that the benchmark is a reliable method for structuring and managing data, with the potential to support research and pedagogical practices.
