This article has as objective to approach the “indiciarismo” as methodology for the research of History of the Medias, understanding as part of a ampler field: History of the Communication. In this direction, we follow the characterization made for Ana Paula Goulart Ribeiro and Micael Herschmann (2008) on the field of studies of the Communication in terms of methodology and research. As example of application of the scientific method of studies about “indiciarismo” in this field, we analyze the workmanship História Cultural da Imprensa Brasil – 1800-1900 (2010), of authorship of the researcher Marialva Barbosa. The “indiciarismo” was created by the Italian historian Carlo Ginzburg on the basis of the work Mitos, emblemas e sinais (2009), in which it presents the paradigm of knowing of the “indiciarismo”, inspired by Sigmund Freud, Sherlock Holmes, the critic of Morelli art and many others.Downloads
