This study aimed to point out the importance that series and versions of contemporary works of art have as a source of information for the preservation, research and communication activities of a musealized and outstanding work of these sets. To arouse the debate, we list the performance Puxador (edição Colunas Pampulha), by artist Laura Lima, present in the collection of the Pampulha Art Museum. Although the artist's requirement is to be exhibited only as a presence, this work has no museological documentation to guarantee this form of perpetuation or memory. Given this, we demonstrate throughout the article, how the series Homem=carne/Mulher=carne (H=c/M=c), the editions Puxador- arquitetura and Puxador-paisagem as well as the re-performance of this work, and the impact of this work can contribute to its preservation. In the end, we consider that such data may be important to compose a possible documentary dossier of the work. The adopted methodology includes bibliographic survey, analysis of institutional documentation and interview with the artist.Downloads
