Michel Maffesoli: a pós-modernidade se orienta para “algo de anarquista”

O sociólogo francês Michel Maffesoli concedeu esta entrevista no dia 10 de dezembro de 2012, em Paris, na sua residência, alguns dias após a morte de seu mestre, o antropólogo Gilbert Durand, autor de, entre outros, As Estruturas antropológicas do imaginário. Na obra de Maffesoli, é clara a influência de seu amigo e mestre Gilbert Durand. Em uma das passagens de Homo eroticus – Des communions émotionnelles (CNRS Editions, 2012), Maffesoli relaciona C.G. Jung a Durand, lembrando que as histerias coletivas se encontram nas raízes daquilo que ambos chamavam “psique objetiva”, ou seja, um conjunto estrutural psíquico de longa tradição, o “inconsciente coletivo” junguiano. O próprio Maffesoli reconhece dever a Durand a ideia de que a essência do gênero humano residiria no equilíbrio conflitual. Nesta entrevista, ele fala de imaginário, pós-modernidade, cultura e anarquismo.
