The text proposes a brief reflection on the theme of the cultural heritage and historical and philosophical foundations on which we framed this debate in Brazil. It points out the main criticism received by the preservation program adopted in the country and the implementation, from 2000 on, of the intangible heritage preservation policy, as an attempt to expand and attend the groups which were excluded by the cultural policy based on materiality.Downloads
