The News values presence in the imaginaries of receivers of national television news in reservations Amanã and Mamirauá, Brasilian Amazônia

This work sought to identify, among residents of the sustainable development reserves (Mamirauá and Amanã), in Brazilian Amazônia, the presence of news-values commonly used in Newscast. We performed a content analysis (CA) from a series of interviews with residents of four communities, which made it possible to study the allocation of importance, for this audience, of the facts that become news, using categories that express values as rarity, impact, conflict, entertainment, among others. The investigation considered the proposals of Reception studies, which recognize the active role of the receiver and the dialogical role that marks the relationship between him and the emitter. In this case, the focus was on the TV as a medium of mass communication . The research shows that, among this population, there is a large number of references to news characterized as tragic or dramatic.Downloads
