Mediatization is the new socio-organizational structure of society. As a result, the three branches of government try to legitimize their actions and social representativeness through electronic and digital media. This study uses bibliographic research and theory of enunciation to examine the role of meaning effects contained in television discourse on an attempt of prospecting an audience while promoting the device. The study analyzes the news about the premiere of news program Justiça Gaúcha, as covered by itself, enabling us the identification of a reading contract with viewers anchored on elements of mediatic self-reference.Downloads
