Value of consumption and use visual images on the web
Keywords:
Audio-visualization of culture. Image - Uses and consumption. Software and uses.Abstract
On the web and especially in sharing platforms, the audiovisual has being framed differently than in previous media, and this in large part by the enounced uses that are authorized by the software and by the effectively practiced uses of the users who are more or less competent to tension the programs. In them, the remixes, or the simple appropriations are recurrent. The latter, however, modify the posted images by means of those framings. These uses affect the circulation and consumption of images so that they acquire a kind of value almost independent of the value of the videos themselves, a value that we tended before to associate to the cult or the exposition. The tendency of such uses and their implications in the audiovisualization of culture seems to be more related to the urgencies of the contemporary dispositif of transit and connectivity.Downloads
