Abstract

In this brief background analysis, the announcement of Saudi Vision 2030 will be the starting point for a reflection on the situation of Arab migrant workers in the GCC, the importance of remittances from these workers to their home countries, the impact that Gulf labor force nationalization policies may have on the expatriate Arab community in the region, and the possibility of a reversal in the trend of Arab labor being replaced by Asian labor in the GCC.

É autora do livro Relações Internacionais do Mundo Árabe: os desafios para a realização da utopia pan-arabista , já em sua segunda edição (Juruá 2009; 2013) e de Arab regionalism: a post-structural perspective (Routledge 2014). Atualmente, é professora de Relações Internacionais na UniRitter.
