PROPOSITION OF ECONOMIC LOT OF PURCHASE AS A STRATEGY FOR MUNICPAL HOSPITAL PHARMACY PURCHASING

The aim of this paper is to propose lots of cheap buy for inventory management of drugs saline solution, glucose, saline and mannitol. These solutions are used for rehydration and application of drugs in intravenous form for patients from public municipal health and hospital pharmacy are available from Independence Hall - RS. The theory underpinning the study focuses on materials management, inventory management directed - Curve ABC; Classification X, Y, Z; Safety stock; Reset Time; Lot Cheap Shopping, shopping with emphasis on the public sector. It is approached, Moreover, the Bidding Law of 8666. The study method is guided by quantitative approach and procedure for the case study. Data were collected through analysis of reports of the management system pharmacy reviewed, interview with the responsibility for pharmacy and direct observation. Data analysis was done through content analysis (BARDIN, 2004), and application of the propositions of Gill (2004) for the Calculation of Safety Stock, Viana (2002) in the structuring of the Curve ABC and XYZ Classification and Days (2005) to determine the Replenishment and Economic Lot Purchase. The main evidence of our study indicate that searched the pharmacy does not have a strategy for acquiring the products tested and the quantities to be purchased based on empiricism. Moreover, from the historical series of consumption these products and based on proposals of Days (2005), it was found a Economic Lot Purchase of 42 units to the physiological solution 125ml of 30 units to 30 ml saline and 23 units for saline 500 ml.
