Décio Gatti Júnior é doutor em Educação: História e Filosofia da Educação pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, com estágio de pós-doutorado concluído na Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de São Paulo. Professor Titular de História da Educação da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq (Nível 1B).
