Introduction: The working relationship in Primary Health Care (PHC) with medium complexity services is based on interprofessionality and collaborative work. Therefore, knowing the profile of these professionals is essential to support new approaches to qualifying care, through ongoing health education actions. Objective: To analyze the profile of PHC workers and medium complexity services in the Western Health Coordination in the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Method: Cross-sectional observational research, with data collection carried out via electronic form, between November 2021 and March 2022. The study participants were health workers linked to the West Coordination. The variables researched were related to characteristics of the profile of professionals/managers. The analyzes were carried out using the R software. Results: The sample consisted of 84 participants, 63 (75%) white people, 20 (23.8%) black people and one (1.2%) declared themselves indigenous. Furthermore, 65 (77.4%) were cisgender women and 16 (19%) cisgender men. Most respondents were 40 years old or over (48.8%) and had higher education, with a greater number of nurses (27.4%), doctors (23.8%) and nursing technicians (15.5%) . The vast majority (65.5%) had completed postgraduate courses, especially specialization (36.9%). They were professionals who worked in health care (76.2%), for a period of up to 3 years (75%). Conclusion: The study found a predominance of cisgender and white women. There was little participation of certain professions, which may suggest a low number of these professionals in the health network, affecting the comprehensiveness of care. The restricted working time of professionals in this Coordination can be explained by the end of the Municipal Institute of Family Health Strategy (IMESF) and the outsourcing of PHC, making it necessary to analyze work relationships and their interference in the production of care.
