Introduction: Preceptors are professionals responsible for supervising/guiding students/resident professionals in health care settings. Pedagogical training is essential for them to be able to practice preceptorship. Objective: To identify scientific evidence on the contributions of the use of the One-Minute Preceptor (OMP) methodology by preceptors in the training of medical students and medical resident professionals. Method: Integrative literature review (ILR) carried out in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database. The descriptor controlled by the 'Descriptors in Health Sciences' (DeCS) – Preceptoria/Preceptorship – and the uncontrolled descriptor – Preceptor Minuto/One Minute Preceptor – were used. These descriptors were combined using the boolean operator AND. Original research articles, literature reviews, experience reports, Course Conclusion Papers (TCC)/ Dissertations/Theses and manuals on the use of OMP in the training of medical students and medical resident, published between 2020-2023, in Portuguese/English, were included. The selected publications were analyzed using thematic analysis. Results: 10 publications were analyzed (six articles, two manuals and two TCC). OMP is a methodology considered easy to apply, carried out in a short space of time, allowing for agile and focused discussions between students-resident professionals-preceptors, enhancing the development of clinical skills and critical-reflective reasoning. OMP encourages medical students and medical resident professionals to think critically about situations/cases, formulating questions and proposing resolutions, enabling the definition of a better treatment plan. OMP also contributes to a greater number of differential diagnoses by medical students and medical resident professionals and qualifies both student-resident-preceptor communication and feedback by the preceptor to his oriented. Conclusion: This RIL identified the contributions of OMP in the training of medical students and medical resident professionals related to the development of clinical skills, critical-reflective reasoning, the elaboration of a greater number of differential diagnoses, more in-depth discussion of cases and communication with the preceptor, facilitating feedback on their learning.
