Abstract

The main proposal of this article is to demonstrate how the Assessment of 360° Competencies - individual competencies traced from organizational competencies and assessed in a 360º methodology – has impacted the Personnel Management of some companies and how this tool has determined their strategic decisions in relation to their human capital. For that purpose, a case study was carried out in an attempt to analyze the main actions developed in five companies of Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais that implemented the Assessment of 360º Competencies, as well as to verify the main changes brought about in the organizations by the adoption of this management tool. Findings indicated that all the companies investigated made some use of the results offered by the Assessment of 360º Competencies for Personnel Management decision-making.
