ORGANIZATIONAL (RE) STRUCTURE UNDER THE LOGIC OF COMPETENCY. A PROPOSAL OF THE APPLICATION OF A SMALL CONSULTING BUSINESS

The study being maintained in the model of theory of the competencies management has the objective to explore, describe and change the system of how activities are being developed in a small consulting business. Being oriented by authors who have proposed the operation of the concept of competencies in organizations, a frame was built for the reference of the cells of organization in a way that it would be transparent and consistent with management, the biggest challenge of the small companies. The frames are composed by attributes as missions, attributions, results indicators, and competencies, all defined as the basis of the strategy and objectives desired by the organization. Not only this proposal aims to explore and describe, but also to change, the study used as the a research-action. This method does not limit itself in describing one situation, but also in some cases to produce change in the group where it is being applied. The processing of the research and the previous achieved results demonstrated that the basing of the organizational management from a pattern established in the competence logic causes turbulences and discomfort, even though it brings significant contributions. Among them, clear and limiting information about attributions and results expected in each area; direction and professionalism in the decision making; and identification and necessary competence management to the competitive act.
