Mulheres nos conselhos de administração na perspectiva de gênero: uma revisão integrativa
Abstract
The objective of this article was to carry out an integrative review of the literature that addresses the presence of women serving on boards of directors. The bibliographic survey was carried out on the Capes Platform, with the keywords “women” AND “council” AND “administration”. From the research, 38 articles published between 2011 and 2022 emerged. Of these, 12 articles were selected. The inclusion criteria were: a) articles that deal with women on company boards; b) all languages; c) peer-reviewed; d) complete articles with open access. The exclusion criteria were: a) articles that deal with women on boards outside the organizational scope; b) literature reviews; c) articles published before 2011. The examination of this material resulted in 3 categories of analysis: a) women on boards of directors: barriers to advancement; b) regulatory frameworks: establishment of quotas; c) the participation of women on boards of directors and organizational performance. We conclude that the articles present an analytical perspective on the participation of women on boards of directors based on studies with organizational and quantitative biases, without addressing the perception of the agents involved, that is, women and stakeholders who make decisions in companies.
