Supply Chain Collaboration and behavioral antecedents
Abstract
The objective of this study was to investigate the factors of Organizational Culture and Personality Traits of purchasing managers for collaboration with suppliers in the Supply Chain. The Behavioral Operations Management framework was used together with elements from the organizational behavior and supply network areas. The analysis units were the relatives in the Supply Chain and the observation units were the purchasing managers located in the state of Minas Gerais. It was applied electronically, self-administered and based on instruments disseminated in the literature. For data analysis, Structural Equation Modeling was used. The results denote that the individual causes a favorable behavioral impact for collaboration in the Supply Chain according to his Personality Traits and presents himself as a replicator element of the Organizational Culture in his relationships with suppliers that imply for collaboration in the Supply Chain. In addition, it is indicated that the selection of the purchasing manager should be guided by Personality Traits, evaluating and considering the presence of the Openness dimension and the absence of Neuroticism as factors to choose the candidate.
