Acting in Argentine Postdramatic Theatre

This paper addresses the influences of postdramatic theatre in Buenos Aires from the 1990s. Therefore, the appropriation of such technical/aesthetic universe by the theatre of the city and the transformations it provoked in acting and actor's training will be analysed. These elements, based on the physical presence of the actor and initially used in the transgressive proposals of the 1980s, became part of the repertoire available for the development of a poetics of direction and dramaturgy in the following decade, shaping the Buenos Aires expression of the postdramatic phenomenon.
