Abstract

Pour amorcer le dialogue scientifique qui doit s’instaurer entre les membres du projet L’écoute du théâtre [ECHO] (UMR THALIM) et l’équipe d’Arquivos Sonoros de Teatro (Université de São Paulo/FAPESP), l’article aborde une question délicate que le partenariat franco-brésilien pourrait contribuer à éclairer : dans quelle mesure les concepts et les méthodes des Sound Studies et des études sonores à la française peuvent-ils aider à rendre audibles d’autres cultures, et en être eux-mêmes enrichis ? Après m’être référée à la réflexion de Sterne lui-même sur son ouvrage The Audible Past, je solliciterai notre expérience déjà longue pour proposer un début de réponse et un programme de travail.
