Stripping time
erotic-political rifts in project Strip Tempo: contemporary stripteases
Keywords:
Striptease, Nudity, Erotica, Memory, DocumentationAbstract
This article incites relations between an artistic creation and Its composition with a political time articulated with artistic project Strip Tempo – contemporary stripteases (2018) in its presential version – which premiered in the same week Brazil´s current president was elected – and in its online configuration, Web-Strips (2021), which took place during the pandemic. Psychoanalysis, burlesque art and performative documentation in the arts produce theoretical interlocutions to dialogue with this project that stages a kind of erotic and aesthetic summary of trajectories of contemporary artists, mobilizing discussions on the naked body – whether it might be the last frontier of an ultra-conservative morality in Brazil, or as an experience that expresses an erotic desire drive in the arts.
