Abstract

Painting, throughout history and still today, is seen as a divine art, merging various historical and philosophical perspectives. It represents human expression, connecting the human to the transcendent. The history of art is shaped by thinkers who influenced perceptions of artists. Filóstrato praises the ability of images to convey deep truths, Federico Zuccaro views drawing as divine, Ménestrier values painting as poetic communication, and Molière exalts color. Paul Klee sees artistic creation as a mystery beyond reason. Plínio perpetuated myths, Jacopo da Varazze mixed history and legend, Alberti elevated painting, Vasari celebrated artists, Junius compared painting and poetry, Bellori emphasized erudition, Baudelaire praised inner revolution, Zola and Mirbeau valued originality, and Restany defined new realism.

Keywords: Painting. Divine. Mythical. Intellectual Manifestation.
