Faced with the expressiveness of Afro-Brazilian literature as a culture of the borders, and its functioning as a symbol of denunciation, writers such as Conceição Evaristo reflect in their writings the voice of black women and the fight against social injustices, revealing a place of resistance to the African and African diaspora. a literary perspective of authorship. From this point of view, the issue of racism and the need to build an ethnic equality are considered. It is based on the multimodality of language and on the semiotics of cultures to propose the literary reading of two poems by the aforementioned writer, whose performative, semiotic voice, makes the symbolic of language emerge in the textual materiality, whose meanings arouse the human imagination, allowing the reader, the reconstruction of the African diaspora and the perception of the authorship of black women committed to the trajectory of their people. The importance of discussing ethnic-racial relations - Law 10.639 - is highlighted, which make the teaching of Afro-Brazilian History and Culture mandatory in Brazilian education networks, especially public education, with socioeconomic characteristics of exclusion, requiring of approaches that make it possible to break with the paradigm of socially crystallized racism, in favor of the development of critical thinking and the recognition of movements for the redemocratization of socio-educational public policies.
