Perfil da pesquisa clínica no Brasil

A pesquisa clínica é definida por ser qualquer investigação em seres humanos, objetivando descobrir ou verificar os efeitos farmacodinâmicos, farmacológicos, clínicos e identificar reações adversas ao produto em investigação com o intuito de averiguar sua segurança e eficácia. O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma revisão bibliográfica a fim de estabelecer um perfil da pesquisa clínica realizada nos últimos dez anos no Brasil. Para esta revisão, utilizou- se livros e artigos científicos publicados nos seguintes bancos de informações: SciELO e PubMed. Também foram utilizados dados da Organização Pan-Americana da Saúde, Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária, e outros portais destinados à pesquisa clínica. Os dados coletados apontam um crescimento e o fortalecimento da pesquisa clínica no Brasil. Os desafios a serem vencidos são ainda grandes, mas o futuro para o setor de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento na área farmacêutica no Brasil é, sem dúvida, muito promissor.
