This article presents my academic and professional journey. In such journey my involvement in research projects, linked to the research group GEARTE / UFRGS (Group of Research in Art and Education - UFRGS) was essential so I could become a teacher-researcher. The contact with the research still in the undergraduation course, as a student with scholarship of scientific initiation, the specialization course, the master's degree and, recently, the doctorate course were moments of intense learning. The collecting and analysis of data, the study of theory and the production and publication of articles constituted me as a researcher. Since my entry as a teacher of the Public Basic Education Network, my analytical perspective is linked to my teaching practice. In the text, I tell a little of this journey and reiterate, teaching classes and researching are inseparable actions.Downloads
