Abstract

This paper presents the theoretical framework, the process and results of the "Water Project: an interdisciplinary approach", developed during an international research partnership between UFSM / RS and the IPN - Institute for Research on Science Teaching at the University of Kiel, Germany. Describes activities undertaken by students in order to promote the integration of aesthetics, science and environmental education. The water was the central theme, focused on six fields of human knowledge: intuitive, aesthetic, scientific, abstract, technological and ecological.

Ivone Mendes Richter, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), Santa Maria / RS

Possui graduação em Bacharelado em Desenho e Plástica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (1976), graduação em Licenciatura em Desenho e Plástica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (1974), mestrado em Master in Art Education pela Concordia University (1981) e doutorado em Educação pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2000). Atualmente é professora pesquisadora aposentada da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Educação Artística. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: formacao de professores, ensino de arte, multiculturalismo, ensino intercultural.
